Markus Vinson continues a proud lineage of great running backs to come from Damascus. He was a threat on all three phases of the game. Scored 42 touchdowns (36 rushing) with 1,976 yards on the ground in 2016. Vinson's resume include three trips to the state championship game, winning two. Committed to Richmond.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
One of the most elusive and exciting running backs in Maryland. Feliz-Platt wowed crowds with Barry Sanders-esque runs. Broke the single-game state record of touchdowns (9) and points in a game (54) versus Magruder. Led the Screamin' Eagles to an 8-2 record. Finished the year with 42 rushing touchdowns. His 2,568 rushing yards lead all rushers in the Washington D.C. metro. Committed to Towson.

DESMOND COLBY, MONTGOMERY BLAIR
No quarterback in Montgomery County has passed for more yards than Desmond Colby. Finished 2016 with 3,142 pass yards and 31 touchdowns. Colby's 7,069 career passing yards are 5th all-time in Maryland history, sandwiched just between Joe Haden (7,371, Friendly) and Deontay Twyman (7,062, Sherwood). The Blazers haven't seen this many wins in consecutive seasons in its seventy years.

Levy joins Sherwood greats Tyree Foreman and Richie Anderson as athletes to earn the prestigious title of Maryland Gatorade Football Player of the Year. The repeat All-MoCoFootball'er led the Warriors with 1,809 rushing yards and a second consecutive 10-win season. Levy is committed to Boston College.

TYLEN HEBRON, RICHARD MONTGOMERY
Hebron's 2,397 rushing yards is just behind Feliz-Platt in roster of leaders in the D.C. metro. The speedy, back-to-back 1000+ yard rusher is instrumental in the rise of the Rockets as one of the county's top 10 teams in the past two seasons finishing 19-4; the program's best since winning 18 in 2001-2002 seasons. Defensively, he had 94 tackles (18 TFL). Also blocked 3 PATs, and punted 25 times averagine 36 yards.

CLIFFORD CARTER, MONTGOMERY BLAIR
Carter's 1,477 receiving yards and 17 TDs puts him in the Top 10 all-time in Maryland. Desmond Colby's top target. Finished career with 136 receptions, 2,436 receiving yards, 25 touchdowns.
