2016 MOCOFB ELITE-SIX - WEEK SEVEN

RK TEAM PTS VOTES

1

DAMASCUS (10 1st place votes)

6-0. LW: #1

Heartbroken board member Fallen has to remember that everyone has felt Damascus' rath over the last three seasons (with the exception of Franklin 2014). It'll be more of the same as Walt Whitman comes town this week. -JHB

60 10/10

2

QUINCE ORCHARD

5-1. LW: #2

The Cougars have been on a tear since Week one, but they don't have an easy one this week as they travel to the Black Hole. Now the Cougars have convincingly thwarted the Jaguars the last two seasons in the regular season, but still can't overlook this game as a guaranteed victory. -JHB

50 10/10

3

SHERWOOD

6-0. LW: #3

Questions loom over the level of competition Sherwood has played, but this week they have a chance to answer all that by ending the highly talented Blair Blazers winning streak. It's a battle of undefeated teams in Silver Spring this week's game over the week. -JHB

38 10/10

4

MONTGOMERY BLAIR

6-0. LW: #4

Opportunity number 3 for Blair to really show if they're as good as billed, and could possibly bump them to number 2 in the county as they host Sherwood. With questions looming about Zokouri's health, do the Blazers have enough fire power to defeat the Warriors? -JHB

31 10/10

5

SENECA VALLEY

5-1. LW: #5

Seneca Valley - went over to Watkins Mill and beat up on their little brothers down the street. Don't expect much different when Wheaton comes to town next week. -JHB

16 10/10

6

NORTHWEST

4-2. LW: NR

Returning to the Elite 6 with a vengeance, Northwest went to Rockville, MD and show Richard Montgomery what improvements still need to be made for them to be considered with the Elite. This week gives Northwest their toughest challenge of the season with Quince Orchard coming to town. The Jaguars haven't beaten QO at home since 2003 in the regular season and 2006 in the playoffs. Can the Jags change that this year? Can't wait to find out this Friday in Germantown. -JHB
