Earlier this year, Diggs signed a 5-year, $72,000,000 contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings that includes a $15M signing bonus. $40M+ of it guaranteed. The University of Maryland alum was the co-recipient of an ESPY, "Best Moment" with QB Case Keenum this summer for their game-winning 61-yard connection dubbed the, "Minnesota Miracle" against the New Orleans Saints in last season's NFC playoffs.

Five Facts Friday

1. Walter Johnson Wildcats scored 43 points in a win against Poolesville. This was the first time the Wildcats hit 40 or more points since 2014 when they put up 54 points against Northwood.

2. Wildcats' Larry Hurd, Jr is one win away from hitting the century mark of wins. His personal record as varsity head coach is 99-52. They host #3 Northwest on Friday, Springbrook in Week 3.

3. Blake has a 4-game losing streak, extending to last season's football season. The Bengals lost to #1 Damascus in the season opener, 28-12. Their tooth-and-nail fight, athleticism, and potential have Elite Six panel members keeping them at #5.

4. Paint Branch head coach Mike Nesmith is three straight wins away from getting to win percentage of .700. The Panthers' next three games are against Richard Montgomery, Whitman, and division rival Blair. Nesmith's .690% is just behind John Kelley (.850%), Eric Wallich (.820%), Fred Kim (.750%), and Mike Neubeiser (.740%) among coaches with at least 50 games coached.

5. Springbrook head coach Dustin Jeter is the only of the five rookie head coaches to get a win in their debut. The Blue Devils defeated Wheaton, 10-8. Wheaton also has a new head coach in Mark Saunders.
