2019 MOCOFB ELITE-SIX - WEEK 7

RK TEAM PTS VOTES

1

QUINCE ORCHARD (17 1st place votes)

6-0. LW: #1, (with 16 1st place votes)

Jason H-B: The Rockets scored more points against QO than anyone else this year. Unfortunately for them, The Cougars scored 50 more points against them. More of the same should happen against Whitman, as long as they don't overlook this game as the game of the year is coming up.

"Hambonepack": Continues to take care of business.

"Amateragi": Played a far from perfect game and still put up 62 on an Elite 6 opponent.

Coach Owens: Will anyone keep them under 50 in the regular season? Blew out a real good RM team.

LW: 101

2

NORTHWEST

6-0. LW: #2 (1 1st place vote)

Jason H-B: The Jaguars dominated the Bulldogs for Homecoming Weekend. I hope they've got the party out of their system because Clarksburg has always played them tough in this rivalry. Definitely can't overlook them as they too prepare for the Game of the Year.

"Hambonepack": The fans are looking ahead to week 8, are the football players staying focused one week at a time?

"Amateragi": Jordan Morse ain't as legendary as Gardner Minshew, but he is a star for the Jaguars.

Coach Owens: Steady and improving. Can they get over the QO hump?

3

DAMASCUS

4-2. LW: #3

Jason H-B: By this week, we know the tour, we can predict the score, what needs to be said is nothing more.

"Hambonepack": Is Pops the next star at running back, inquiring minds want to know?

"Amateragi": Statement blowout vs. Watkins Mill. Will the Hornets have any tough competition in 3A?

Coach Owens: The Hornets are no doubt at title contender.T

LW: 63

4

PAINT BRANCH

5-1. LW: #4

Jason H-B: Kept the ball rolling against Blake last week. Let's see if Northwood can get on the scoreboard this week.

"Hambonepack": The only question is how soon to pull starters against Northwood in order to stay healthy for Sherwood in Week 8?

"Amateragi": Solid win vs. Blake, but offense still needs work.

Coach Owens: Just quietly doing their thing.

LW: 46

LW: 16/17

5

ROCKVILLE

6-0. LW: #6

Jason H-B: 6-0 and dominant in that. These kids are playing tough and believe in themselves. They have the opportunity to do something special as the road to 9-0 is through Seneca Valley this week.

"Amateragi": Put up video game numbers vs. Northwood. Seneca this week looks like another easy win.
Coach Owens
: Coach Lomax is my coach of the year. He has built a culture of FAMILY and WINNING at Rockville.

LW: 13/17

6

SHERWOOD

5-1. LW: RV

Jason H-B: The Warriors have been "Stormin" the competition since their week 2 OT loss. Definitely proved they are a different team since then. This week they have another opportunity to prove they are elite over a decent Einstein team.

18

LW: 8

10/17

LW: 3/17

On Richard Montgomery...

Marty - Grudginly, boys and girls, the Big and Fury will move Rocketville up to No. 5, fully expectin' the Rams to get hickory smoked by RM in Week 8. This is in fond memory of Ol' Jack Freeman, rockin' his cutoff orange sweatpants!
Neal Owens - Tough loss. Played QO tougher than most.
Hambonepack - The highpoint for the Rockets was scoring 14 points against QO, the lowpoint was giving up LXII.
Amateragi - The final score was ugly, but the Rockets did find a few chinks in QO's armor.

Received Votes: RM (12 pts, 8 votes).
