Churchill alum Paul Boo Boo Palmer is now a College Football HOFer

Finally! Churchill alum Paul "Boo Boo" Palmer has been inducted to the College Football Hall of Fame.
Palmer rushed for 4895 yards (43 total touchdowns) with the Temple Owls (1983-1986). As a senior, he went for 1866 yards on the ground accounting for 15 TDs. He was a finalist for the 1986 Heisman Trophy won by Miami QB Vinny Testaverde. Palmer played in 44 games at Temple.
The Kansas City Chiefs drafted Palmer with the 19th pick of the 1st Round of the 1987 NFL Draft. He would go on to play five seasons in the NFL with stops at Detroit, Dallas, Cincinnati, and Philadelphia. He also played two seasons with the WLAF's Barcelona Dragons (1991, 1992).
At Churchill, "Boo Boo" rushed for 27 touchdowns and nearly 2000 yards as a senior for the Bulldogs. Churchill in 1982 was AA Regional and Divisional Champions, finishing 10-2 as State runner-up to Oxon Hill (8-7 score).
Joining Palmer in The Hall for the Class of 2018 include players Charles Woodson (DB, Michigan), Calvin Johnson (WR, Georgia Tech), Kerry Collins (QB, Penn State), Ed Reed (DB, Miami).. coaches Frank Beamer (Muray State/Virginia Tech) and Mack Brown (Appalachian State/Tulane/UNC/Texas).
